What? Huh? Has it really been an entire year since we bought our little white house? Seriously?!!
~MIND BLOWN~
This year has flown by. I am sure I could say that for all previous years, but I really think this year has made the top list. Thinking back, there are so many things we wanted to do to our house before the year came up but didn’t have the TIME or MONEY. I wanted grass for or yard so that the kids could play in. I wanted a bathtub installed instead of our stand alone shower, I want patio chairs for my back deck, a dog, a laundry room, etc. Want. Want. Want. Of course, if I let that be my main focus in life, I sure would become a very depressed individual!
It got me thinking about how thankful for all the things I currently have and thought…..what perfect timing since Thanksgiving is a this week! I know sometimes we can get stuck in thinking what we don’t have and I thought I would encourage you to take some time and write down the things that make you fee a little discourage or challenges in life and then write down what you are thankful right next to it.
Here are a few of mine….
~My hard doesn’t have grass.
I am Thankful for a HUGE YARD and a HOUSE!
~We do not have a bathtub.
I am Thankful for showers and running water anytime I want!
~I want a laundry room.
I am Thankful that we have a washer and dryer and we do not have to share it with others!
~I am partially Deaf
I am so Thankful for the hearing that I DO have and for the amazing technologies of hearing aids.
~It SUCKS to be legally Blind.
I am so Thankful for the eye sight that I currently have and thankful for the people who are working hard to finding a cure for R.P.
~Having a toddler is HARD WORK.
I am Thankful my son is active and healthy and full of life.
~My daughter has Cystic Fibrosis and that sucks.
I am Thankful that she has been so healthy her first year of life and that we have a team of medical people who are there for her and us. Thankful for the people who are searching for a cure.
~My hubby works long hours and all I want for him to be home, especially on days when my eyes are so tired.
I am Thankful he has a job. Thankful that he can work and bring home the “bacon”. We know who olds the future and our God has a plan.
I hope this is just a small reminder that God has a plan for your life. Things may not look so great TODAY but tomorrow…the next day…and the next..and far into the future is a whole different story.
